THE COMPANY
Founded in 1998, out of an environmental restoration project.
A counter-cyclical reading of the mineral market, applied to the same portfolio for almost three decades.
28 YEARS OF HISTORY
The history of Atlântica Minas
Atlântica Minas was founded in 1998 in Belo Horizonte, out of a degraded-land restoration project signed by the architect Gustavo Penna.
What followed was built on a reading that is uncommon in the sector: rather than competing for large deposits, invest in smaller mines with high-grade ore and integrate the operation vertically, from geological exploration to the product industry buys. It is a counter-cyclical reading, sustained by discipline, field knowledge and a long horizon.
Today there are 197 mineral rights across ten clusters in Minas Gerais, Goiás and Bahia. The portfolio brings together more than fifteen substances: from iron ore and manganese to high-purity graphite, rare earth elements and quartz sand at 99.88% purity. Twelve processes are in environmental licensing and nine projects already hold a Final Exploration Report (RFP) approved by ANM.
What organises the operation
To develop mineral activity with safety, environmental responsibility, compliance and respect for the territory and the people in it.
