About the project
The asset lies at Alfredo Vasconcelos, in the Campo das Vertentes region, where granitoids of the Ressaquinha Suite meet the metasediments of the São João Del Rei Group — limestone, phyllite and calc-schist of the Prados Formation to the south, alluvium along the creek.
The ore is a laterite carrying magnetite itabirite in a manganese matrix, and the main body crops out at surface, which shortens the path from exploration to mining. The programme combined topography, detailed mapping, pits and trenches, drilling, and chemical and mineralogical analysis at an outside laboratory. The Final Exploration Report was filed with the ANM in October 2024, within the term of the exploration permit.
