About the project

The asset lies in friable and semi-compact itabirites. Friability favours dry comminution and lowers the energy consumption of the circuit, which allows dry crushing and magnetic separation to the same standard as the circuit already installed at Carijós, with no tailings dam.

Regional geological mapping and the consolidation of the tenement portfolio have been carried out. The block is treated separately from the Quadrangle while title consolidation is unfinished, precisely so that no tonnage is counted twice. Shipment is planned through the ports of Tubarão and Açu.
