About the project
Three contiguous tenements in the municipality of Pratinha, in the Alto Paranaíba region, around 300 km from Belo Horizonte, on ground of the Canastra and Ibiá groups. The target is iron ore.
The stage completed was the processing and interpretation of airborne geophysics from the CODEMIG survey, covering magnetometry and gamma-ray spectrometry. The work outlined nine magnetic bodies inside the tenements and estimated the depth of their sources. This is geophysical interpretation, not rock in hand: before any sizing come ground magnetometry, to close the outline of the anomalies, detailed mapping, to confirm the source rock, and sampling for chemical analysis.
